Hey there! I'm Junchen, a recent graduate from Nanyang Technological University, specializing in Financial Technology.

My journey with Murex kicked off in 2023 when I joined the Operations & Finance Team as an intern within the Client Services Department. I then joined the team full time and now I am hands-on in post-trade lifecycle and settlement management from the operational side.

My roles and responsibilities: 

My role involves overseeing the workflow of trade validation, ensuring each sequence is logical, efficient, and accurate. I’m dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the process, making certain that all aspects of trade validation adhere to the highest standards of efficiency and correctness. My role demands a keen attention to detail, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the scenarios involved in the post-trade processes.

Key skills to succeed in the role: 

You need to be a quick learner who can quickly adapt to new information. Strong communication skills are also essential for both internal collaboration and external client presentations. Clear logic is crucial for navigating the diverse challenges in the post-trade lifecycle. Additionally, you must possess a sharp mind to address a range of questions effectively.

Favorite part about working at Murex: 

I thoroughly enjoy the office atmosphere. My colleagues are always willing to help, even with the simplest questions. My manager conducts regular catch-up meetings to provide assistance and address any challenges I encounter. Additionally, my manager sets both short-term and long-term goals, offering a clear and well-defined path for my professional development.
