Discover Murex with Antoine

My name is Antoine, and I am a Financial Software Consultant at Murex. I started my journey with Murex through the International Volunteer (V.I.E.) program*. My responsibilities include support for clients with the Risk Control module of MX.3, and testing of developed features within an agile team. In addition to these activities, I participate in agile ceremonies, training sessions, and have regular catchups with my buddy and manager. The dynamic nature of my job keeps it both challenging and engaging.

What motivated you to join Murex through the V.I.E. program, and how has the experience matched your expectations?

I joined the Murex V.I.E. program with the goal of moving to Ireland after completing my master's degree. The paperwork for a job abroad right after school can be daunting, and the V.I.E. program facilitated this transition seamlessly. My experience with Murex has not only met but exceeded my expectations. The warm welcome from the team, the introduction to everyone, the assignment of a buddy, and the onboarding made it easy for me to embrace the opportunities that come with this international experience. Murex's social events after work have also added to my journey. 

Can you share a particularly challenging or rewarding experience during your time at Murex?

One of the most rewarding projects during my time so far involved an onboarding program where, despite not having a financial background, I undertook the challenge of understanding financial concepts within just three months. In addition, English is not my native language, which added an extra layer of complexity to the task. However, my buddy played a crucial role in my mission providing valuable support throughout the process.

What would be your message to potential candidates considering joining Murex?

Murex consultants come from diverse backgrounds, including myself with a master’s in network engineering. Don't let technical or financial aspects deter you from applying. The team members I encountered during the interview process were exceptionally supportive and provided all the details needed. Murex is an outstanding place to grow and work, and the support given by the V.I.E. program is an opportunity not to miss!

*The V.I.E (Volontariat International en Entreprise) program is an opportunity for graduates from the European Economic Area to work with Murex abroad for a duration of 12 to 24 months. A chance to explore a new country, acquire new skills and practice another language while expanding your network.
