Murex CMO Stella Clarke Named One of the Top Women Software Industry Leaders in Europe

PARIS, 27 January, 2021 — Murex, the global leader in trading, risk and processing solutions for capital markets, is very proud to announce one of its own leaders, Chief Marketing Officer Stella Clarke, has been named as a top woman software executive by a leading sector specialist media source.

The Software Report, an online news service that closely tracks the sector, ranked Stella second overall in its Top 25 Women Leaders in Software of Europe for 2021 list, published on January 27. Each nominee was evaluated on their experience, milestones achieved, organizational contributions, and, “perhaps most importantly,” their impact on promoting a positive and productive work environment, according to TSR.

“I am honored by this distinction and it reflects a larger focus within Murex to ensure our team embraces and furthers diversity at all levels of seniority,” Stella said. She noted Murex’s recent ranking as a Glassdoor Top 5 Employer for the second consecutive year.

“I am proud to be a leading voice in an environment where exceptional people are empowered to excel and grow and where diversity is a priority.”

A regular panel leader and speaker at major industry events, Stella joined Murex in 2014 and has constructed a strategic global marketing practice that includes product go-to-market, product marketing and marketing communications.

In her role as CMO, Stella’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is integral to the success of Murex. Clarke has been a role model for gender equality for many years and represents the company at the highest level from Dublin.

Hundreds of exceptional women in the software space were nominated for places on the list, according to TSR, representing companies with a wide range of functional capabilities in the sector, from human resources, software development, the internet of things, project management, supply chain logistics, as well as other areas.

Stella actively encourages women to pursue careers in financial services and financial software, acting as a strong role model within Murex. She noted that Murex is also committed to encouraging young girls to enter the world of STEM, providing intensive training led by women developers through initiatives such as All Girls Code in Beirut and Teen Turn in Dublin.
